Traffic flow and road conditions
Due to strong wind on the DC553 Naklice-Omiš/Omiš bypass road there is a traffic ban on: doubledeckers, trailers and motorcycles.
Roads are partly wet and slippery.
Traffic is dense in cities and on their bypass roads.
During the day difficulties may occur in roadwork areas:
- in Istria on the A8 highway between the Učka junction and Učka tunnel in both directions.
Drivers are invited to adjust the way of driving and the speed to road conditions and to keep distance!
1 November-31 March headlights have to be on during the day as well.
Until 16 March the Istrian Spring Trophies international bike race takes place:
- 13 March at the Vrsar airport;
- 14 March on the section Poreč-Funtana;
- 15 March on the section Novigrad-Motovun;
- 16 March on the section Pazin-Umag.
Traffic restrictions:
A1 Zagreb-Ploče-Karamatići motorway:
- until 10 March at the Konjsko tunnel one lane is free only in each direction (60 km/h);
A3 Bregana-Lipovac motorway:
- until 14 March between the Zagreb istok and Ivanić Grad junctions one lane is free only in both directions;
- at the Zagreb (Plitvice) rest area 17th km-16th km traffic is flowing in reduced lanes until 31 March 2025 (driving speed limit of 60 km/h);
- until 30 April at the Stari Grabovac rest area in direction Bregana the parking surfaces are closed, the petrol station however remains open;
- until 1 April at the Zagreb zapad junction from direction Lipovac (A3) and from direction Macelj (A2) towards Zagreb (most Sava-Jankomir) one lane is free only;
- until 4 April at the Lučko junction (Kalinovo viaduct) in direction Bregana trafic is flowing in reduced lanes;
- until 28 May between the Nova Gradiška and Lužani junctions one lane is free only in each direction;
- until 28 May on the section Lužani-Slavonski Brod zapad 196th-200th km one lane is free only in both directions;
- until 1 June at the Kraljeva Velika jug (Lipovljani) rest area the parking surfaces are closed, until 10 June at the Kraljeva Velika sjever rest area;
- until 11 April traffic is closed at the entrance of the Ivanić Grad junction in direction Lipovac, detour: Križ junction;
- until 1 April the petrol station at the Dragalić jug rest area between the Okučani and Nova Gradiška junctions will be closed, the parking surfaces remain open;
- until 24 March between the Sesvete and Zagreb istok junctions 93rd-96th km one lane is free only in direction Zagreb, in direction Goričan traffic is flowing in reduced lanes;
A6 Rijeka-Zagreb motorway:
- until 15 April at the Orehovica junction traffic is suspended in the exit lane from direction Zagreb towards Trsat (Rijeka centar) detour: Čavle junction-ŽC5205-DC3-Rijeka-Rijeka istok junction (A7)-DC404-Rijeka;
- until 21 March 9pm-5.30am traffic is suspended between the Škurinje and Orehovica junctions in direction Zagreb/Križišće, detour: through Rijeka;
- between the Učka tunnel and Matulji (Učka) junction there is a traffic ban on vehicles wider than 3 m and longer than 22 m in both directions;
- due to roadwork between the Lupoglav and Cerovlje junctions there is a traffic ban on vehicles wider than 3 m;
DC1 state road:
- until 21 April on the DC1 Solin-Klis highway one lane is free only in each direction;
- until 31 May traffic is closed on the section Gračac-Knin at the Stara Straža viaduct, detour for passenger traffic/vehicles up to 7,5 tonnes: Žagrović;
- until 30 April at Brnaze one lane is free only;
- from 10 March until 1 April traffic is suspended at the Dumbočica tunnel, detour: DC33-Dubrava junction-Dubrava-Šibenik-Meterize junction-DC8;
- 5-9 March roadwork is in progress towards the mainland, 10-14 March towards the island.
